• Teaching Driving Skills : Instructing teenage students on the principles of safe driving, including traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and vehicle operation.
• Behind-the-Wheel Training : Providing hands-on instruction during driving practice sessions, helping students develop confidence and proficiency behind the wheel.
• Safety Protocols : Emphasizing the importance of safety measures, such as wearing seat belts, obeying speed limits, and avoiding distractions while driving.
• Risk Management : Teaching students how to anticipate and respond to potential hazards on the road, including adverse weather conditions, aggressive drivers, and other unexpected situations.
• Vehicle Maintenance : Educating students on basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and performing routine inspections.
• Communication with Parents : Keeping parents informed of their child's progress, discussing any areas needing improvement, and providing feedback on overall performance.
• Documentation and Records : Maintaining accurate records of student progress, attendance, and completion of required coursework.
• Adherence to Regulations : Ensuring compliance with state and local laws governing driver education programs, including licensing requirements and curriculum standards.
• Professional Development : Continuously updating knowledge of driving laws, techniques, and safety practices through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Customer Service : Providing excellent customer service by addressing concerns or questions from students and their families in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Evaluation and Assessment : Administering tests and evaluations to assess students' driving skills and readiness for obtaining a driver's license.
• No felonies in last ten years
• Valid SC drivers license
• Favorable driving record in the last 3 years
• Pass drug screen
